We are going to Cambodia! One more country to experience! We are going mostly for Angkor, the capital of the Khmer civilization. I am excited to say hello to another country, although also sad to have to leave Thailand. The language is Khmer, a direct descendent of Old Khmer, the language of the Khmer Empire.

We got on a plane to Siem Reap, the city where we are staying. I was curious to see what Cambodia was like. Was it like Spain, Tanzania, or Thailand? And then… thud. We hit Cambodian ground! It turned out to have a bit of the feel of Tanzania and the temperatures are extreme! It could get up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit! We are lucky to have AC.

Our house is called an Urban Farmhouse, and we had two rooms. One room had white walls with two beds, one is a bunk bed. The other room also has white walls and has peach beds. They are both quite plain, without much in the way of decoration, but it’s not necessary to have a nice place to live/sleep. The area is comforting, and full of nature. I am excited to explore Angkor very soon!
